Provenance Portugal, Porto. It is one of the largest breeds in Portugal along with the Minhota. The Marinhoa breed was essential for the local fishermen, as it was used to drag the nets of the boats. Triple aptitude: milk production, agricultural work and meat production. The meat from these animals is of excellent quality, with good fat cover and a distinctive flavour, the result of rearing them in traditional systems. They are similar to Minhota and Rubia gallega.
